Trailing Mormon Pioneers – Our History
In their library I found a Captain Edward Hunter and his Company (1850) which had 261 individuals and 67 wagons when it began its journey from the outfitting post at Kanesville, Iowa (present day Council Bluffs). This company was organized at 12-mile creed near the Missouri River, first Perpetual Emigrating Fund Company. Listed are members of the Clapp family.
